Merry ‘SummerFest’: LAX celebrates its three-year anniversary and previous milestones

Unterföhring, July 2025 – At its annual summer festival “SummerFest” at the Munich Film Festival, LAX Entertainment GmbH looks back on three exciting and successful years since its foundation in July 2022. With its first production “Tschappel”, a comedy series about teenage life in the Swabian countryside, which was broadcast on ZDFneo in May 2025, the young company of producers Charlotte ‘Lotte’ Groth and Maximilian “Max” Greil has established itself in the German film industry. Things could not have gone better for the duo, who met at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and reconnected through their work at ndF: neue deutsche Filmgesellschaft mbH. “We have paved the way for further series and films,” says Lotte.

While waiting for the green light to continue their debut series, the now four-person team is already working on other formats from different genres. “Our next step is to prove that our portfolio goes beyond original comedies,” Lotte continues. In addition to series, feature films and movies as well as live shows and radio plays are also in development – a challenge given the current economic situation. But: “We are convinced that courage pays off even in unstable times if you want to be noticed by the audience.”

LAX thus remain true to their motto “Mainstream of tomorrow”. Their close cooperation with the parent company ndF has also proven to be beneficial for both sides from day one. At the same time, the young CEOs also enjoy the freedom to establish their own corporate identity and develop independently. In addition to the breakthrough in German television, the growth of the team has been one of the major changes in the company’s history: In January 2024, Leon Algrim joined as junior associate producer, and in January 2025, associate producer Nelson Happ made the trio a quartet.

LAX’s milestones have now been celebrated with other creatives from behind the camera – an opportunity for everyone to network and exchange ideas. In view of this contribution, one can be optimistic that the party will continue.
