A new ZDF crime series, “SOKO Spurenjäger” (WT) (SOKO Trace Hunters), is currently being filmed in Hamburg and the surrounding area. The 15-episode series focuses on the team at the Hamburg Institute of Forensic Science (KIH), whose precise forensic work analyses the traces left behind at crime scenes, helping to solve criminal cases.
The team is led by forensic biologist and entomologist Prof. Dr. Tim Kohlbeck, played by Joscha Kiefer, who works closely with Chief Detective Katrin Schuhmann, played by Luise Bähr. Further cast members include Tim Olrik Stöneberg as explosives and weapons expert Gedeon Hager, Hanna Mall as forensic pathologist Dr. Claudia Benning, and Iskander Madjitov as young forensic scientist Miles Schneider.
“SOKO Spurenjäger” (WT) is produced by Fiction Magnet GmbH in collaboration with ndF Hamburg. The producers are Johannes Pollmann and Matthias Walther, with Ramona Pour and Theresa Bacza serving as producers. The series is commissioned by ZDF, with Michelle Rohmann, Dirk Rademacher and Jutta Kämmerer overseeing the editorial team.
