ndF Group Expands Executive Management: Tobias Rosen Appointed New Managing Director

Unterföhring, May 7, 2026

ndF: neue deutsche Filmgesellschaft is expanding its executive management team and, with Tobias Rosen, is bringing on board an experienced producer to further develop its scripted business divisions. Rosen will join the ndF: Group in January 2027 and will assume the position of Managing Director from Matthias Walther in September 2027. Walther will remain associated with the company as a producer.

Tobias Rosen brings extensive experience in the development and production of high-quality films and series. As Vice President, he was responsible for scripted originals at Sky Studios Deutschland and previously served as Executive Producer at Warner Bros. International Television Production. His previous projects include “Love Addicts” (Prime Video), “Club Las Piranjas 2.0” (RTL+), and “WaPo Duisburg” (ARD/WDR). His graduation film “Watu Wote / All of Us” received an Academy Award nomination in the category “Best Live Action Short Film”, while he received the German Film Award in 2019 for the feature film “Rocca Changes the World”.

Currently, Tobias Rosen oversees several developments and productions, including projects for streaming platforms, in his role as Producer and COO of Construction Film. With Rosen’s planned start at the beginning of next year and the official handover scheduled for September 2027, the ndF: Group is deliberately pursuing a transition model that combines continuity in ongoing productions with fresh momentum for strategic development.

“With Tobias Rosen, we are gaining a personality who combines creative producing, strategic fiction development, and modern partner management,” says Matthias Walther, adding: “His experience with premium originals and international projects is a tremendous asset. Tobias has exactly the right profile and mindset to further strengthen the ndF: Group together with my Co-Managing Director Viola Fischer-Weiss and our outstanding team in the years ahead, while opening up new growth areas in scripted content.”

Commenting on this next step, Tobias Rosen says: “The ndF: Group stands for storytelling with substance – and at the same time for remarkable continuity: producing long-running, highly successful series at the highest level over many years is a rare strength in our market. Building on this foundation, I look forward to further expanding the scripted business divisions together with the team and developing strong new stories and partnerships for the future.”
