A good two weeks after its launch on ZDFmediathek, “Der Schwarm” has already recorded over 18 million views. This makes the eight-part thriller series, based on Frank Schätzing’s book of the same name, the format with the best streaming start since the ZDFmediathek was launched. The series was also successful in linear programming. The TV broadcast of the first two episodes on March 6, 2023, comes to 7.50 million viewers after final weighting.
