Surprised by a snow storm, Martin and Hans Gruber find shelter in a mountain hut. Shortly afterwards Rupert Althammer rushes in. His mountain guide fell into a crevice. Although the two brothers were able to save the unfortunate Johanna Kirchner with great effort, the young woman told Martin about her physical problems that led to the accident. Soon he has to confront her with a sad diagnosis.
