The sleepy little village Gendering – after all just a flyspeck on the map. But indeed a very beautiful one. The village is settled so attractive between the Alps and Munich, that the young landlord Paula (Anna Maria Mühe) is being offered a big deal: An investor wants to buy the village for 18 million Euros. Gendering is planned to become a luxury holiday park. Especially the women in the village see their most secret dreams become true. But after initial enthusiasm their men suddenly get a sense of home and so they refuse to sign the necessary sale documents.
